A missing security bit?
Something I haven’t seen mention of in any spec list or on the demo car I saw at the weekend was a cover for the tailgate/boot area - no roller blind to hide anything of value in the boot if you don’t opt for privacy glass. Maybe someone going to have a look at a public viewing this week/weekend could ask the LR people if it will get one? Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

First thing everyone buying a D3 and D4 did on getting their car home was removing the load cover and putting it in the corner of the garage, only to find it again about a month after they finally got rid of the car.

And me too although the rigid ones in both my L322’s were liable to rattle occassionally, but I’ve always liked to hide the few bits and bobs I carry around. Maybe it the one carry over from a Classic Defender not having one! I keep far more stuff in a couple of plastic storage boxes in the back of my 90 than I would have carried in the FFRR’s and RRS’s although in the L320’s I could keep recovery kit under the rear seats in the well there. But L494 didn’t have the same folding system for the rear seats. Even my Countryman has a nice deep storage area under the rear floor panel ( no spare wheel to carry around there) where you are also supposed to keep the charging cable. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

I just saw that video, the cover looks bodged together for the show, though not quite as bad as that guys jeans!

Biggest issue in terms of ‘off-road’ in the States in tyre size. It should have been standard with 33’s with the ability to spec up to 35’s. This is something that Jeep have done with the wrangler Rubicon. Airing down is more common over there than it is in the UK due to the space they have and the improvement in comfort it gives. Would you trust airing down a 20 inch tyre?

JLR could have shown the 110 with the mud terrains but no, clearly being the LA motor show it’s mall crawling all the way.
