Have a look at mudstuff.co.uk who do a dash top mount and right-of-centre mount with Carling switches to suit both orientations. Both are good bits of kit. They also do a 3rd option utilising the standard LR switches.
If you're interested in fitting a subwoofer, I can also recommend the farcorners.co.uk under cubby sub enclosure which comes with a custom switch panel Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon Then: 2004 2.5 TD5 90 Hard Top (X-Tech Edition) |

Not wanting to cut up the dash , I’ve placed front and rear light switches on the cubby box .
As said the carling switches and panels from Mudstuff leave a factory look that marries up with the rest of the dash . Depending on your spec you may have some blanks in your dash . Not entirely sure where you buy switches that fit them but could swear I’ve seen them for sale somewhere! https://www.instagram.com/hustynminepark/ |

I did this with the Mud Pod as I fitted a flip out head unit which masked the switches. Made up some new wring loom extensions etc and also fitted the Disco hazzard switch. (and an oil temperature gauge)
Also fitted the Mudstuff single din holder assembly (passenger lower shelf) and then fitted a crafted switch frame assembly that allows fittment of 3 standard defender dash switches. (no phote atm) 2015 90 XS Santorini Black |

I fitted the switch for my rear worklight in the steering column shroud. Pre-2014 models even had a blank hole there I believe

I had a sub-woofer box fitted below the cubby, primarily for somewhere to fit additional USB's for front and middle seat passengers. But it has a panel on front where you can fit a bank of extra switches.

I used a replacement drinks holder insert in the cubby box. Leaves a holder on the passenger side but has a cutout for 3 carling switches on the drivers side.
Bought it from one of the usual online retailers . Let me try and find a link... |

A few options too like a 2 switch holder that retains both drink holders... |
