I didn't have trouble with the dealer (not all Vauxhall dealers were allowed to touch the VX220).
It was Vauxhall themselves. Lotus fitted the wrong headlights to my car, the VX220 Turbo had different coloured headlights and I had the non-turbo ones fitted. Vauxhall washed their hands with it, as they are £800 each!!!! 
Went on for a while until I threatened them with legal action via small claims court, they phoned up the following day to book my car in for some new headlights. Originally, they told me that they would only change one of them!!!!!....... I also hear horror stories of Lotus fitting one Turbo and one Non-Turbo headlight......doh! Also had an engine mount snap after an, er, Emergency Start, so it went back under warranty and they changed the wrong engine mount........... I then had to prove it to the Foreman that the engine mount was still broken which involved scaring the pants off him doing some more Emergency Starts!  Craig Rogers
