How to tease a new release JLR!
I love the way that Ford targets the 'every man' by going for the heart strings. The full size Broncho is due out next year and I predict it will give the Defender a kicking in the US. TFL have said that it could be seen at the next US motor show so should be an interesting comparison or no comparison at all especially as Ford have said they are going after Wrangler sales, LR I'm guessing are not seen as competition.

as a mass production vehicle, i don't see the new defender as competition to jeep and the upcoming bronco. price and style of each put them in different classes. the jeep imo is basic and bland and cheap. when you speak of LR, you get nice leather and style. when it comes to off roading, i wonder if the new bronco will go the way of the jeep or of the raptor? slow speed off road trails or "high speed" racing.

"when you speak of LR, you get nice leather and style", each to their own but that just about sums up where JLR are going wrong with the new Defender for me. Embarassed

I also don't see the the New Defender as competition for the other 2.
No way would I buy the Defender, the Jeep I would and I'm hoping Ford will fill the price gap between the Suzuki Jimny and the Wrangler.
