Imported car prices after Brexit
Could be a hammer blow for those taking delivery of a New Defender next year which will be an imported vehicle and possibly subject to some hefty import duties as an overseas built vehicle........
I was in my local Hyundai and Kia showrooms today looking at the e-Kona and the e-Niro........ the waiting lists for both EV’s is now longer than 18months and both importers have stopped taking orders as they don’t know what the prices will be after Brexit - they advised to budget on a MINIMUM import tax of 10%............ that will make a new Defender an extremely expensive car as it will be an import from the EU. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
