Had the puma M.O.T.'D ( passed with a couple of advisory's ) and serviced on Wednesday and collected on Thursday morning. That's the good news.
Yesterday S.H.M.B.O. took it out to do the weekly shop, arrived home after a couple of hours, as I watched her pull up it was as if someone had turned a drain tap on, water pouring from the engine onto the drive. So with bonnet up and me peering down the nearside of the engine I could see water all over the chassis rails but could I see the source of the leak no, I couldn't even see it from underneath. After call to the garage (Indy) S.H.M.B.O. took it back for inspection.
It turns out that towards the back of the engine on the nearside on the cooling system Land Rover when adapting the Transit engine removed a pipe from the system leaving a stub and just plugged it , the plug is a replacement part as it is known to perish.
I have checked the workshop manual but cannot find the offending item. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to us off.
