Drivers Windoow not Working
I had a problem a couple of years ago were I had a broken wire going to the Window motor.
So I went for that again , wire was ok.

I appear to have 12 volts at the connector where the wires red and blue are, 12 volts all the time. When the switch is pressed the 12 volts disappears, so for down the way the Blue wire goes to 0 volts up the way the red goes to 0 volts.

I had thought it might be 0volts normally and 12 volts to move the motor but maybe I have another problem.

Is that how it should work? The Haynes manual does not have that in it.

Could the motor be seized?

Any help would e appreciated. I am reluctant to open up the left hand door as I broke some of the plastic pins.

Hello Dorset smith sorry do not know your first name. Thanks for the drawing much better than mine.

I feel it of an idiot now, but it was the red wire broken.

I could not figure out why I had 12 volts on each leg. But it appears that the switch puts an earth on and allows the current to flow one way or the other.

Got it working now and just to put it all back together.

Thanks for your help..

I take it you have a proper workshop manual.
