I would assume , experience from my last employment, that no I.D. means exactly that. No engine or chassis numbers would mean almost uninsurable. Personally I wouldn't go anywhere near one. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

not sure if the rules have changed but historically you had to be licensed for waste transport and disposal to be able to purchase anything classed as "no ID" as its technically no longer a vehicle - there were other hoops you had to (rightly) comply with to ensure the vehicle was broken for spares only and the shell destroyed..............
like most things its has been massively abused over the years and in some cases vehicles were actually "re-registered" ??? |

It used to be possible to re-register them and have a Q plate issued.
My parents bought a stolen recovered MX5 many many years ago, which had been found being "ringed" and had lost its original identity. It had a replacement chassis identifier, etc issued, making it a legal vehicle again, but due to its history was worth a fraction of the value of an equivilant "genuine" MX5. And you couldnt change the plate to a "private" registration either, so it stood out a little. I'm not sure what the process is now they've moved to the new style number plates. 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |
