^^^ It didn't sell Not sure you'd get it under the bonnet of your 110 though?
Looks exactly the same as the one Guy Martin put through the wall of the workshop! It was in one of his TV programmes where he said he was only allowed to start it up outside now! Given it was a LWB diesel I guess there wasn’t a huge demand, however after saying that it is a lovely unrestored 109 and seeing some of the tarted up tat that’s on sale I know which I would have. It’s the nicest S2A 109 I have seen for a very long time. |

The steering wheel is correct for a D plate. I think they changed from wire spoked to plastic steering wheel mid 1965. The plastic steering wheel is similar to the series three one but has the horn button in the centre. |

Yes, I thought the steering wheel was correct too, but was too lazy to double-check it on the SII Cub timeline. (Apologies Defender9 )
Hate seeing pics of early two-door Range Rovers, as I sold mine too cheap a few years ago. Number 1,800 off the line and un-restored, the new owner rubbed in the pain by sending me a couple of pics of it, a year later: Click image to enlarge I sold it because I actually found it boring to drive. (Too comfortable. ) Click image to enlarge Regret it now. |

Early Rangys were stunning in Lincoln Green, mine was an early K reg in Tucson Blue, I bought it as a restoration project very cheaply, all the steel work was rusted out apart from the chassis which was excellent. I bought which I think was the last 2 door body frame from Hobson’s in Lincs which was ex factory and painted Lincoln Green. I think I would have done the whole car in Lincoln Green but all the outer panels were in Tucson Blue, so the Hobson parts were also painted in that colour. It was a fantastic everyday car and I liked the comfort, unfortunately on twisty roads the kids were usually car sick

I just love the early rrc, definitely next on my shopping list, but going to need a lottery win before I get away with it!
I just love the character of this particular one, with the matching roof, rostyles and stripe. Would that have been a factory finish or bespoke option? I saw a late rrc soft dash for sale locally for £1,250, needed a little work, but looked in decent condition, wish I'd got it but soon snapped up. But does give hope of ever finding genuine bargains.
