Hmm not seen a video of it driven before.
Gosh it does look like it could be very good, if they tone it down a bit - make a '110' version and increase clearance a bit. Excited to see where they go Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

David
I think that is it mate . There might be a few small changes but theres no way theyr gonna go to that effort and produce this and give it to their biggest potential customer all to then make a different product . There wont be another wheelbase . Its 100 and thats it . Just like all the other LR family members . To give it its due , its a slimed down defender , look closely at all the lines , curves and features . ( Its a Defender but not as we know it Jim ) |

hmm id have to very much disagree with you there..
look at the LRX concept which became the evoque, showed only as a 2 door and when it eventually came it was pretty different and in 2 door / 4 door versions. and with the defender, id put money of there being a number of bodystyles. the defender and the transit van are the only really customisable vehicles avaiiable today, and LR would lose all the utility companies, rescue services, rural ambulances etc etc if they only made a 90 version. id expect there to be at least: 90/110 station wagons, DCPU and DCPU chassis back / High capacity... resolution is rubbish, sorry, but this is AUTOCAR's 'leaked info': Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

This is old news, I'm afraid. After a big fanfare last year and the subsequent negative reactions, LR have gone very quiet on the DC100 concept. A senior guy at LR also said recently that they won't have a replacement ready for when they stop building the Defender in 2015, so who knows what they might eventually produce. Darren

At the Dealer launch of Evoque we spent quite a bit of time comparing it to LRX. Very very few differences.
In fact I can only think of three at the moment, doesn't get much more similar than that!! |

Looks like JLR sold the rights to Mitsubishi.
