| Camel Trophy.........Ford Focus! | |
Just been to the village shop to get my weekly newspaper and as I walked back along the Main Street a long cavalcade of dressed up cars on some sort of Help for Heroes fund raiser drove passed. One of the cars was a very low rise Camel trophy liveried Mk1 Ford Focus tricked up with a home made expedition roof rack loaded with spare wheels and Jerry cans, stickered with all sorts of off-road stickers and national flag stickers - it was even repainted the right Desert Sand colour - even the steel wheels. Wish I had had my phone on me to take a picture. I wonder if it might have been somebody on the forum?
Also in the line of cars - an RAF blue painted S Type Jaguar with tailplane and rondels on the doors, an MGF made to look like One of the Thunderbirds rockets. 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
