DPF light and limp mode from flat battery
Hi all, my car has had the DPF and engine lights come on with limp mode.

This was following a flat battery and several attempts of starting, battery charge and again failed atarting until replaced.

The car doesn’t pip around town and is used on long journey, the last was a 250 mile round trip from London to Derby and exhaust runs clean out the back so i know my DPF isnt full.

Does anyone know how to clear the codes?

StreetWise and ScanGauge2 readers fail to clear this (states failed).

It is code P2463 which relates to a clogged DPF.

This isnt the case as car was running and fine until trying to start with a flat battery. Battery has been on the blink past few weeks as the car isnt used everyday and has tripped the engine light when attempted starts fail.

how old is your starting battery ? if it can not hold charge if land rover is not used every day

It is 7 years old and can sit for a couple weeks. I have owned for 4 years now so not done bad really. Have another on now and CTek condition lights attached, the last never went off amber.

ive got a 2007 2.4 and although I dont have a DPF I did have some strange issues when my battery went flat a few months ago. the main one was the a turbo over boost fault that put it into limp. tuned it off cleared the codes and re-started and been fine since. had it checked over prior to a re-map and all is fine apart from a weak battery.

Can you read DPF presser on live data ? ford DPF presser differential sensor do fail common issue , DPF cleaning and re gen

This only happened with a battery change, the car never moved and was fine for the previous round trips to derby and dover with nothing abnormal in the car behaviour or any MIL lights what so ever.

I just want to know how the DPF light can be cleared so i can use it - if it returns then i will get it fully checked but to come on from failed starts without even running is extremely unlikely.

You need to clear the diagnostic error. My nanocom can do it, don’t know about other brands but if you can get a buddy of yours around with a nanocom you should be able to get going again.

Hi Did you guys sort this issue ? Ive just had same issue .Battery was flat .I charged it and car starts ok now but now showing DPF Fault code . Just code it cleared by kiwis fit but it came on immediately .Strange

CSK sorted it without any issues.

Perfect as always from Chris and his team.

Fitted me in too as needed the car desperately.

Just go there - Land Rover technicians have no idea and CSK on them day in and out, and for them was known and easy.

If your battery is 7 yrs old, you probably own a MY 2012. The first ones are famous for their loose DPF sensors (not fully tightened from factory)

I’d have that checked
