Is the gore fuel filter housing worth it?
Just checking, defender ownership hasn’t taken long to nibble at my wallet,
I have a drip at the housing so have been googling and forum searching, realising the housing is a common failure point I thought i’d Better check it out. So tonight armed with some de greaser and an airline I set about cleaning the area up to properly inspect. At the brass union to housing point the casting is all rotting away and is weeping fuel Sad it’s not horrendous yet only a drip so I’ve got to look at it positively as I can replace it quite easily.

So

Am I as well going for the GORE lump over the standard version? All the brass fittings look in good nick so could be swapped over ok, I’m kinda surprised at the price of a standard one tbh.

Cheers for opinions in advance. T
