Bubbling paintwork & rust repairs in the Midlands?
Can anyone recommend a good garage where I can get the window frame repaired and prevent and repair any further rust on the 2nd row seat frame?

I'm based in Stoke On Trent. The few garages I've rung so far don't seem to be interested in restoration.

Once you do find somewhere to fix it make sure you use 3m helitape under the door seals to stop it happening again.

No one seems to be interested in the work though. It would appear that rust/paint repair is not something that most modern garages can do.

Try Doseley Motors in Shropshire - they are the approved LR paint and body repair shop for this area and did my windscreen surround under warranty, but they do private work as well. I've been very happy with their work over the years on a number of cars I've taken there.

I'll give them a call. Good to hear they did a good job on your Defender with the exact same issue.
