Dash illumination
Evening all! Does anyone know if the dash illumination in the heated rear window and heated seat switch is a replaceable type bulb?

Thanks.

No, they're soldered in LED's, I'm afraid. Darren

Thanks for the reply. New switches then. What a shame.

You can buy the LED’s, carefully take the switch apart and solder the new bulb in - T3 LED bulbs is what I used

I bought some off eBay like this

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10X-T3-1-SMD-12...FCpwmvblKg

The above come in the black plastic holder as shown but you remove that (easy as they aren't soldered)
Dismantle the switch - iirc a gentle prising open works
Desolder old bulb
(sorry if this is teaching to suck eggs) but led’s need the correct polarity to work so i then put the switch body back in the defender and carefully make a note of which way around the bulb needs to be function (dont short it)
Remove the switch from defender and shape bulb wires to fit
Resolder, reassemble , refit and you are done

The challenge you have is that ‘white’ varies across. manufacturers so they will differ in brightness - so suggest you buy a few (20) and then depending on how OCD you are replace them all at once or over time as they fail (then at least you will be using the batch etc)

Hope that helps
