So after all this time, this is it. Sorry but I am not over-enthused, it is neither iconic or head-turning. And by the looks of it from a distance, you would be hard-pressed to differentiate it between all the other JLR products. I am sure it is full of gizmos and clever technical trickery but to me, sorry, it is a disappointment. Will I be eager to purchase one simple answer no!

Ha! Ha! the wife has just told me side on she thinks it looks like an oversized BMW Mini. Or from the front a pregnant Clubman. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Although not iconic I’d have no problems with a basic version on steel wheels And meaty tires as a family car. Just a shame I already know it will be too expensive over here.

This was always going to happen, it needed to be viable to mass produce and full of technology which is what people want these days, basically it's a slightly ruggedised old style Discovery wearing a Defender badge to keep the name going.

The traditional Land Rover market doesn't exist anymore, in a mass/profitable way. And no, LR do not want to make Hilux/ranger type vehicles, it has luxury market aspirations and this has been clear for many years, the utility market is already fulfilled.

Just like the classic mini and the BMW mini which was not the same thing just some token styling trait's but fitted the modern customer.

Accept it for what it is, and appreciate what you have with the original and at least it keeps the name going Thumbs Up

Just my opinion.

Still not a fan, zero interest to me regardless of price.
Should have encapsulated the original and upgraded.
Jeep gets my vote from now on, but again significantly higher pricing than the vast majority of us here could take.
That may change over time though, for obvious reasons.

I don’t know about others, but I am MORE than happy with what I have and have no intention of swapping anything at all.

It’s just more of the Eastern wavy line styling, and if you scratch your wheel arch you’ll need a new wing. No doubt probably costing £1600 a panel plus paint no doubt too.

Not for me, but each to their own. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Not for me either, I decided if I wanted a more "modern" Land Rover, it would have been a Discovery, which I have owned and ended up back in a Defender Whistle Cool

I like it...it has just evolved to meet todays expectations. I am interested in one but do not have the funds to buy.
