My third Defender and first V8.
Not in great condition, but price was ok, so hope I can post some pictures of getting her sorted out. Forum has been useful and I suspect will continue to be so. First jobs look like rot mitigation, Probably new doors and bulkhead..... but I hope then to get on to some exhaust mods to let me hear the V8 Click image to enlarge |

Thank you. Been looking a while and it was close so hit the bid. Original V8 was what I was after. Plan is to put it back as near as possible to standard, certainly to look at. Need to come to a view on wheels in due course.... Cage, light bar, a bar are now on eBay. Just removed all the chequer plate and LR bonnet decals so figuring out how to get the rivet shanks out. She is going on a lift on Monday so I can take a view on if some major surgery is likely to be required. |

Ideal, I was reading up on tubular headers etc. I am going to have Challenger 4x4 have a look at the engine when it goes in, but basically want more V8 but not so much my wife tells me it has to go! Any tips or links much appreciated. The fuel consumption is something else, at least I have a Shell Go account |

As she stands today. Got a lot of photos to take tmrw to assess what is going to get done.
Any suggestions more than welcome, going to do as much as I can myself but don’t have any garage space for her, so will need to outsource Click image to enlarge |
