Headlights not working on dipped beam
Still trying to fix my headlight issue, they aren’t working on dipped beam. Sidelights work and main beam both work ok just no dipped lights, any suggestions?

I’m assuming it is a fault with the relay, I have tried swapping round the bottom right one which it is marked on the diagrams as but still no luck.
Which one is headlight relay location? Presumably it is the top right?

Lucas light switch should sort the problem. 10 minute job to swap. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

There is no headlamp relay, full current passes through the switch hence why it is short lived 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper

Visually and electrically check it with a DMM.

The contacts can burn out (due to load through it), you can get a high resistance reading both sides of the contacts if engaged.
Excessively low voltage at a headlight socket are a few examples.
(You might be able to check that, from the engine bay side, without removing a headlight from the rear by taking one socket off.
If you’ve got a voltage there between ground and the dipped pin, of under 12v Approx then you can probably safely say it’s the switch. A voltage reading may show such as 0.5 v or 6v if the switch has had it or none at all, if the latter then maybe a loose connection, but switch contacts gone as mentioned is most likely culprit.

If you don’t own a Multimeter / DMM, then you could borrow one possibly, using one can be very helpful for one of these kind of things if anyone is so inclined to do so there are lots of videos and details online.
This is something that’s can be useful to most owners, if you already know how to use one then that’s not a problem at all.
Visually checking it works to a point, but may not be particularly decisive.

You don’t have a ground issue there by the sounds of it, which is good.
It is likely as mentioned that it needs a new headlight switch. Thumbs Up

If you do decide to take a headlight out, be careful of dropping one it can easily be done.
