Fox steering damper
Hi guys I need to change my steering damper and I am also planning suspension change in not to distant future where I am looking at using fox suspension do fox do a steering damper? If not I am considering a raptor 4x4 heavy duty damper as they are matching colour to fox which will keep my ocd happy and thoughts on this?

Well I spoke to alive today and fox don’t do steering dampers they said most people use the bilstien one but I think that will look odd so still looking at this raptor one has anybody used this before and any feedback on it? Andy

It’s your fault Simon I am in this dilemma Rolling with laughter if I had not seen the fox shocks you fitted I would have been blissfully unaware and would have gone for a full matching set of bilstien b6. I now want the shiny fox ones and a matching colour damper Laughing Andy

For interest, have a watch of this. I went back to genuine LR steering damper after “upgrading” to a Terrafirma one

Interesting video the raptor damper I am looking at is oil filled not gas so hopefully will be fine. Andy

Choosing a mechanical component based purely on its' colour is, well, odd Confused Darren

To be frank, I'd stick with the original LR one. It's not a complicated system and is a lot less stressed than shocks, so there's little to be gained from an 'uprated' version. The only time that might be a benefit is if you have very oversized tyres.

I suspect that most people that claim big improvements with uprated steering dampers have really just masked some other underlying wear issue. Darren

I can't fault the factory steering damper either, and standard bushes. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
