They are physically a straight swap. If you manage to get a pair with the same features as your existing then the wiring will match up, too. I think the door cards are different, although they look the same externally. Darren

Weren’t the late Td5 doors steel and similar to the Puma versions, I.e. stronger and better made?

Be aware that it is entirely possible that 2nd-hand doors could come from stolen or de-doored Defenders. Even if we're not direct victims (yet) that is something that affects us all indirectly though insurance costs. So try to determine the provenance of any 2nd-hand panels before purchase. The SP4x4 doors are extremely good quality and are available in various styles: https://www.sp-4x4.com/category_s/242.htm Buying new means that you can be certain that you're not fueling the ongoing Defender related crime epidemic. |

I can't comment on the rear doors, but the SP4x4 galvanised frame, steel skinned front & 2nd row doors I fitted to my DC a couple of years back were superb quality and have been trouble free since.

That's exactly what I did in 2017. You'll need a sprayshop that's familiar with painting galvanised steel if you go for that option. The photo shows my pre-spray prep i.e. re-drilling holes and re-cutting threads partially blocked with zinc. |
