The nature of the rebuild puzzles me? Why do put all the 2016 parts into an ‘08 plate, why not rebuild the ‘16 with a new galv chassis? Insurance write off 16 bits? I may be being a moron (as distracted watching scary stranger things whilst writing this) 2.4TDCI 90 - everyday brilliance
S3 V8 Lightweight - in the garage being ignored #newchassistime S3 lightweight - 2nd car 24V fire risk with a full tilt and the windscreen down S1 80" - first car fun - 75mph in neutral downhill once #wobblesallround |

The dealer used to be well known for selling accident damaged vehicles at one time. Not in dodgy way. Maybe still are, so there’s good chance the parts were salvaged from a written off 2.2 I guess. I went to view a cat c write off that they had, a relative of mine bought it from them with no problem. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I'm surprised that there are enough original parts from the '08 to allow it to keep the '08 registration.
Spoilt too in my opinion by the front end treatment and especially the utterly vile interior, but I expect someone thinks it's nice. |

my thoughts exactly.
it states 'complete 2.2' so how did it become a right off if they've managed to use the whole vehicle? |

insurance companies sell licensed salvage companies the whole vehicle with the proviso that the 'chassis' is not used BUT you can use / sell every other last nut and bolt that is not damaged............
have seen total write-offs that you could drive to the shops and 'lightly damaged' repairables that are a ball of scrap as there is often no apparent sense to an insurance companies decision... |

"VEHICLES ARE SOLD WITH NO WARRANTY GIVEN OR IMPLIED"
£28k on a "fully rebuilt" vehicle and this is your disclaimer? I do realize that simply by making this statement does not make it legally possible for them to abbrogate their responsibilities but it would put me off immediately irrespective of whether they have a good reputation or not. |

I heard a very loud alarm bell ringing but couldn’t work out where it originated.
I then logged on and read this thread. |

So a perfect 2016 110 "morphed" onto a galvanised chassis that happens to have a 2008 chassis number stamped on it which by pure luck is from a written-off vehicle..... bloody hell that lucky! I assume a receipt for a new set of locks and ignition barrel are included
