Ooh, Greeni - not a very positive response! Is this your 90 or a customer/friend's?

I can really imagine @Miserableoldgit turning up to a shoot with wheels and rubber like that!

Thanks for the honesty.....it's not actually mine...
The tyres are Cooper Discoverer STT '33 12.5 20'

I like the 'remote control' too !!!!

This is going to be VERY modified.....
Something VERY similar to the SVX...but the ORIGINAL one, no screen, no door tops and with lots of leather...
This is for a customer who's bought 3 Defenders this week !!!
All going to be special editions and in the magazines....so, you heard it here first!

For those who don't remember the original SVX...this one !

I think it looks cool but wont be doing it to mine any time soon as it fits in the garage with 1 inch to spare, so no lifts, no big wheels or tyres for me. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

Mine fitted in the garage....though I had to invest in a custom electric door....And then I just had to buy a roof rack Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Now it won't go in!

Hope you're going to be able to post pictures of the finished (they're never finished) vehicle here Greeni. Twenty inch rims aren't my cup of tea (although on fifteen inch rims they look excellent) but I always enjoy seeing someone that's gone out on a limb with their mods and done something a little different... Peter

I think the responses are probably provoked by the large wheel/slim tyre clash...if it had taller tyres with taller sidewalls it would look a lot better, like that SVX does. Trouble is that right now it looks as if its on low profile tyres. 2011 110 USW

Agreed. I think it looks extra wrong as the rest of it is still standard.
Maybe when the rest of the pimpage has occurred, it will at least look unified?!

Or put it another way, it's Granddad on a skateboard.
Dress Granddad in skater-boy clothes, and (from a distance) he'll look ok.
Still Granddad underneath though.
