DIY winch bumper

After a van with tourists crashed into my front I decided to make my own front bumper and mount a winch to it. The goal was to make it as close to stock as possible, but stronger.
Here is where I started.

After fixing most things it was time for the wimch bumper.

I had some 5mm sheet metal left from my other offroad vehicle. So I decided to use it. First I made a plate to position the winch in its place.

Then i had to make the side parts - left and right and weld them to the center section.

The original mounting points were really difficult, because of the blind threads on the bottom of the bumper. It took me one whole day just to make it work. I used thr factory thread plates and welded them to the bumper.

I wanted the relais box to be on the winch. If you detach it, the winch can be mounted even more compact.

Now I have a winch, but it is not connected yet, so I am officially a poser.
