I think these will look great, can't wait to see them installed!
I chickened out of going for these tyres on my 90 but now wish I had! I thought they might look too big on a 90 but having seen them on others subsequently they look awesome. I think I'm going to be quite envious Also be interested to see if you decide if you need extended wheel studs James MY2012 110 2.2TDCi XS SW Orkney Grey - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic43410.html MY1990 110 200TDi SW beautifully faded Portofino Red - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post743641.html#743641 MY1984 90 V8 Slate Grey - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post744557.html#744557 Instagram @suffolk_rovers |

Hi,
Taking off 285/75/16 Cooper Discovery Stt on modulars which I felt were just too big. To be honest i've never used 255/85/16 or Toyos but I done a fair bit of research and feel they would both fit and drive well on my 90 Pickup. Don |

Hi James,
Good question on the wheel studs, I'm no expert but the consensus of opinion on here by more qualified and experienced people than me is that standard studs are ok with Wolf wheels. Don |

I agree the general consensus is extended studs are not required. I test fitted mine and the threads didn't look like they were even half way through the nuts, so for complete peace of mind fitted extended studs. They are now way too long!

I’d be interested to see a pic of the new 255 stood next to the 285 to compare height. 2006 TD5110 station wagon

Will sort out a comparison photo of the 285 beside the 255 when the 90 is back from the body shop.

Great, thanks. I’m not expecting too much difference in height, but it’ll be interesting to see. 2006 TD5110 station wagon

I've never used 255s before but seen many on here and read the reviews which by all accounts have been mainly good. I got a really good deal on the tyres so thought I would give them a go, never used Wolfs before either but I think they are what they are and just fit and look right on Defenders (just my humble opinion).

Think wolf's would look very retro in limestone, if you have time I'd love to see some pics. Thanks
