Is there a missing part here?
Hi, my 300Tdi Wolf looks like it might be missing a part.

Can anyone tell me if I’m right (I’m new to the Tdi so going on a gut feel here)

A quick Google for Wolf engine bay pics suggests yes. It looks like whatever that is should have a cap on it:

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think the pic that RRUK posted is showing the separator. On 300Tdi's that's on the offside of the engine - you can see it in the pic that LRA posted.

Whatever that other thing is (my car doesn't have the EGR or any of that gubbins) it's on the other side of the engine from the separator, no? Donald

 1997 Defender 110 300 Tdi CSW Alpine White
AMR5127, it's the breather for the alternator. Some Wolfs have it mounted directly off the alternator and some have it back against the bulkhead

Yep, and the cap is missing and can't buy it separately so got a new one coming in the post. 2016 D4 HSE
