They are sound, but the silver was scruffy and I now realise from the part numbers on the back the headlight surrounds are genuine LR and I'm guessing the grille might be as well. So, I'm going to keep them for now and maybe spray them matt black when I get a chance as they feel better quality than their replacements which came in boxes with blue labels

Freestyles and 265/75 BFG AT's off & Zu's with Cooper 235/85 AT3's (that luckily I couldn't sell!) on.
Personally I think the wheels in matt black suit the blue, but will be changing the tyres for MTRs I think. Would love to go 255/85 but think it might compromise the turning circle and I have a set of MTR's on the 200tdi so will probably pinch those to save some money for now Click image to enlarge |

Would it be very wrong to chequer plate the tub inside - worried about water sitting under there

Yes! I'd be worried about trapping water, plus personally have a dislike to chequer plate. I'd say paint with a bedliner like Raptor but read the other day Greeni advised not to but not sure why. James

Decided the Zu's with 255/85/16's were just too big as I want a semi classic look and they made truck look small - so, trial fitted genuine Wolf's and 235/85/16 MTR's (thanks Dan) and was convinced they were the way to go, until I saw the pics - now think they look completely 'lost'. 255/85's on Wolfs may be the way to go, although turning circle will not be as good as Zu's unless I go for ET0 aftermarket Wolfs - Decisions decisions

Trials and tribulations! Expensive decisions. Having fitted 235's on my et0 wolfs, I wish I'd been brave enough to go for the Toyo's. I like a tall tyre! James
