Watch with interest, this has been done to death in the past, but with new products coming onto the market all the time then there must be some good lamps that are affordable that have not been reviewed previously. 80" 1948

I would recommend trying them before you buy. I’ve got Trucklites and I’m a bit disappointed in them. Plus, they freeze over in winter. In hindsight I preferred my old set up of a relay loom, Crystals and Osram Nightbreakers. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

My Wipac Crystals, Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs and headlight relay setup gives pretty much the same amount of light as my Audi's Xenon lights.
What bulbs are you using and have you got relays installed? Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

I have the revised Trucklite from 4x4 overlander and I think they're great.
main reasom I went for them is because they don't stand out as an LED light. Just look standard with a dark tint |

I have crystals, Philips upgraded bulbs but I never fitted the bloomsburg loom? (although do have it)
I'm surprised if the loom will make these as good as previous cars with LED xenon lights? Seems Britpart Lynx get good reviews... but britpart... The choice now is massive... The rice range massive, even if you leave out all the chinese ones, the range at suppliers is £150 to over £600 Difficult to try before I buy.... Need to fit them and drive down my local country lanes at night to compaore Its not as if they give the same technical details in the specifications so hard to just choose on that... Mindfield.... |

I am willing to try out any new lights and give out unbiased opinions. Nolden etc take note😂
It is difficult to judge from the figures, at one time you used to get comparison diagrams of beam spread and reach, these seem to have been dropped from sales details. Sometimes just easier putting on LED spots to use with main beam. 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |

this ^^ Wire the lights directly to alternator. Makes a huge difference and although I haven't ever had LED on my Landy, I can't see much difference if I did. |

Stacey007 if you are not using a headlamp relay then you are only getting about 3/4 of the volts you could do at the lamps. Check the Boomslang? Loom you have and fit it.
If you go to LED the voltage at the lamps is not relevant to the brightness. However the main headlamp switch will eventually still burn out. It will just take longer with the lower load. 1995 Defender 110 CSW 1971 SIIA Lightweight |

Also went for the Truklites , they seemed to be a well established company compared to some and it sits well that they’re also used by the American military on some vehicles. E marked and straightforward to fit .
As above poster has said , they don’t look too different to the standard lights unless you go for the smoked glass. My one criticism is lighting cut off on the periphery of the beam , it’s so sharp that it can be a rather distracting but you do get used to it. I think mudstuff have them on offer at the mo Click image to enlarge https://www.instagram.com/hustynminepark/ |

I bought some cheap ones (I dunno if I should say where from). I bought them to see what they looked like mostly. I didn’t like the look and they failed a headlamp test (outside the zone) so I fitted Crystals Nightbreakers and which for the moment I am happy with. Will do the wiring upgrade when I have acquired the competence to do so. I would avoid cheap LED lamps if I were you !
