I've read through the previous forum posts regarding suspension options but, I'm still undecided and with the new chassis on order I need to make a decision sharpish.
I've got a set of Britpart (I presume) HD Yellow springs on the shelf, I've run them in the past with no complaints. I was considering running them with helper springs in the rear and genuine (ideally) HD front springs, but I'm stumped when it comes to the shock absorbers. They're going on a DCPU which will be used for towing, collecting heavy loads, some overlanding and a large amount of unladen driving. Any thoughts gratefully received. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread Series 2 109" Series 1 80" Last edited by Shroppy on 28th Jan 2020 8:15pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I hadn't considered fox but will look into them! I've run their stuff a lot on push bikes and can't complain!
Thanks for the heads up on the discount, I think I'll be placing quite a few orders in the next month or so as the rebuild ramps up! 1985 127 V8 Build Thread Series 2 109" Series 1 80" |

I have run several vehicles in the past with terrafirma, one, fox, koni shocks.
For general alround use ome get my vote. 3 of mine now running ome shocks. Fox are good but better suited to vehicles been pushed more than mine are. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

If you are towing this is what i have and it works
OME long travel springs front and rear Fox extended shock 2" lifted Airbagman rear airbags Airlift compressor Adrenalin extreme rear trailing arms Adrenaline tubular a frame Adrenalin 6 deg front radius arms 3" rear propshaft Double cardon front propshaft You can also use the ARB shocks in place of the fox, they are just as good and slightly cheaper. Its a great kit and allows the best of all worlds not to mention doesnt hurt the back when you are offloaded Can't leave well enough alone |
