Puma Computer not communicating

Took my 07 puma into the local LR dealer today to have a new remote (and key) linked up to the car as when I bought it I only got one. After a couple of hours they told me their computer is not getting a responce from my car computer so they were unable to setup the new remote.
They want to have the car in for a whole day to figure out why it isnt communicating. Concerned this sounds expensive so thought I would see if anyone else has had this issue and what was causing it?

sort of.
my car wouldn't communicate with LRA laptop but this was after car going into limp mode and rev counter not working.

needed a new ecu - under warranty tho.

Had same problem,left it for a week and it worked first time.But during that week IDS system had downloaded latest version of software. Its never over in my land rover.
