I haven't done this before, but I would drift out the pin and try to loosen the bolt.
If it was only a pin then it wouldn't have been a bolt head. |

So the bolt came out really easily and must be be for lubrication ... the pin however was bent in the middle and as hard as I tried would not drift out ... and the pin is too close to the side of the plate to get a drill bit in ?? ..
I've been at it all day and gave up and put it in the "too hard pile" ... I've bought a secondhand one off flea bay .. but will keep the old one until it arrives as sods law says this one is going to get to me !! I'll report back in a few days ... |

The main pivot pin is parallel and can be removed in either direction, after the retaining pin has been drifted out It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten
