Original type grilles are the same. Often aftermarket ones are different for AC/non AC as they extend up or down from the original shape.
If sticking to original type, I would recommend a genuine grille. The pattern ones are made of much cheaper and more flimsy plastic. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Or you could pick up a nice galvie powder coated aftermarket steel grill.
