Maf sensor problem
Hi I have a fault code showing MAF sensor problem which causes car to go into limp mode ie 30 mph . I tried changing and getting fault removed but EM light comes back and it does the same . Any suggestions what else it could be . Thanks .Defender has an upgraded intercooler and remap .

Maybe give the MAF sensor a good clean.
Clear the fault code then they again.

Thanks for reply . I tried that cleaned sensor reset code and it came back on as soon as I drove about 500 yards. I then got a new one fitted today and the same happened. Defender has had a remap from JE Engineering with intercooler etc . Not sure if thats relevant .

Hi,
If it is a td4, could be a leak in airtubing from turbo to engine,
I did have it already 2 times.
I did change the maf sensor first time before understand that the error was not the sensor but the airflow not right .
Not easy to find where and depends where, not easy to change

Check the hose nearest the steering column that it hasn't rubbed and punctured.
That is a known failiure point.

Most likely a split intercooler, JE did my tune in 2017, had one changed after 12 months so about 11 months ago and yesterday with no trailer on I got the dreaded loss of power and a sort of bang, reset DTC seems to be OK but I fear the worst. I have already put on silicone hoses. 2019 MY Disco 5 HSE Lux
