Front Calipers for '85MY 90
Hi,

I need a new pair of front calipers and in calling round / web searching for prices I'm getting confused advice as to which part nos fit.

Some suppliers are saying that RTC4998/99 works for a 1985 but others that they only fit 1986 onwards and that I need RTC3380/81 instead. The former are half the price of the latter so if they will work I'd rather go with those!

Can anyone advise?

Thanks

Hi Beau,

Should be RTC4998/9 depending on your chassis no.

Have a look at our website, link below.

If it's the early type you need, I've got a set of brand new (old stock) genuine LR pads here you can have FOC

That's very generous of you Jim - many thanks.

I think it seems like the later type having checked the VIN. Fingers crossed they fit. 110 UW - '15 2.2

Fairly certain that all front calipers are interchangeable. The main differences (ignoring the vented/non vented ones) are the locations of the pipe union and bleed nipples and the type of brake pads used.
