No! Only saw it when excossack posted it! I obviously don't have the right viewing history!! Although I am slightly concerned we seem to be married to the same person! Not really a fan of adverts, but as this site is free and very good and obviously needs funding then I am willing to put up with them. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I am also a member of the NAWCC, (National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors), no adverts on there and it would be extremely annoying looking at detail and being distracted.
Other similar associations have tried ads and the participants left in droves . Therefore we all make voluntary donations to the NAWCC and there is a scale that shows when that months overheads have been reached. If you donate, minimum $10, you get a banner under your user name stating that you are a donor and that lasts for 60 days. Various larger sums mean different banners, I think $1000 is a lifetime member with permanent appropriate banner. There are others in between. Or use the AULRO.COM subscriber system. Seems to work very well.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

We (at work) pay a lot of money to ‘affiliates’ like Martin’s business site. So cookies are stored for where you visit online. So for example, you could look at www.Cyclestore.co.uk peruse around and then come back here. Martin hosts a space for an advert and as you visited cyclestore, an advert may appear here for cyclestore...because of cookies from your device knows. Then if you click the advert to go back and buy something from cyclestore, Martin will get ‘a cut’. Believe me, we pay anything from pence to hundreds for each transactions. Specific interest sites generate massive income.. Road.cc which is for lycra wearing road cyclists have the ideal target audience, so as they read about the ‘new thing’ on a blog for eg and click on the link to the vendor, then buy... road.cc get a cut. We spend an obscene amount to ‘affiliates’ and ‘google ads’ but thats what you need to do to be successful online in a fierce market. |
