My new car has a slot for a PAYG Sim to create a WiFi network etc.
Within the headunit/awesome computer! it has an embedded sim which I can pay for thro' VW ( which I don't really wish to do). Obviously my mobile connects to it & I can use that for data etc. However, I wish to add a Data only Sim AND I would really prefer not to have a monthly charge but have it pre loaded with an amount of data which once used up I can either re-load OR start afresh.( This for passengers to use for the WiFi network) EE works pretty well around where I live but would certainly consider any of the normal networks. Data usage won't be massive - So any ideas as to what to get? Cheers Guy May your life be like toilet paper ; long & useful. |

At the moment Vodo phone have a data only SIM at £20 for 15G on a 90 term. It then just stops. It was 20G but must have been too popular. That's 5G a month and I can't find a permanent contract giving a better deal.

Was doing similar with the hub in my MoHo. But have changed from 3sim which was ok and had 1year to use data, but if you top it up, you only get 30days to use data. So new card each time.
But I’ve just swapped across to Vodafone, they have deal going at the moment which is 100Gb of data, free call, free sms, and all for £15 per month (via a rebate). Yes it’s a monthly charge, but an amazing deal. Other big advantage is that there is no limit outside uk. Most there’s limit to 19Gb per month, and three is limited to 3G outside uk. Andy. |
