Hahaha. Not structurally strong enough, but a Defender roof would be. I recon it would be the other way round.

Their was a chap, think in Dubai, that had double cab with bars over the rear and a Maggi on it so that the Maggi top, was the same height as the Def roof. If that makes sense. Think must have been a Facebook mate, when I was on there.

Thanks Bob. I’m curious why a tent wouldn’t work? Given half would be firmly attached to the roof of the cab, which is strong Anouilh to support it on its pwn, this was about having something under the rear when pushed back? So 50% on the cab with probably four fixings, then 50% distributed between the two hoops, each with a pair of fixings. Would that not be strong enough?

The hoops that I have shown will easily take a roof tent but as they are only bolted to the top of the tub it is the strength of the tub that I would be concerned about.

If you could fabricate a couple of supports from where the hoops bolt to the tub and the chassis then that would work.

That's what I'm running. Just bolted to the tub but no problem so far.

I thought that Sonic3d specifically built it to support a Patriot rack and roof tent?
