Check battery voltage, in case of not correctly working alternator, and battery discharged with running engine instead of charging it. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "BlufĂnek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

I had a problem like that. Unplugging and plugging back in the black plug helpt me to restart it everytime. I cleaned both plugs (no oil) and made an additional earth from the ecu housing to the battery negative. No problems after that ( more than a year) Roel

Thanks guys for the valuable input. I tried all the various suggestions, but finally narrowed it down to a faulty ECU. I sent the ECU to a company in the UK called ECUTESTING. They repaired it and sent it back to me.
My Defender is back on the road again with increased power output. |
