Light Guards
Got some new genuine light guards to fit...and wondered if there are any tips on fitting?

especially those captive nut things

Yes they may not need drilling but they arent the nicest.

I think they look a lot better than the LR ones and they don`t stand out as much as the LR ones Thumbs Up

How do the Equip ones attach then? Is it just bolts drilled through the light surround? 110 2.4TDCi

The fixings only go thro the plastic light surrounds Thumbs Up no metal to metal contact Big Cry

Try and get some waxoil behind the mounting scews, I 've used plastic nut caps on the rear cross member bolts for the tow pack (01634 245999) if anyone is int'd. 2.4 90 XS

I looked at the equipe ones and apart from not protecting as much, being over priced I still dont like them as much.

Before i try a magnet on them are the rivnut boltie things not ali? I may get some stainless fixings. Mike

All fitted - easy job. Im not convinced by the rivnut things, whether i have done the up enough etc etc..

But with the painting and the greasing to all parts...keeps my mind at rest. Mike
