Nicely done.
Do you have any images of the seats after you added the new padding? Iæm interested in what goes to fill the head rest gap. Roughly how long did it take you and what was the deal with teh heated seat pads. Were they stuck to the seat cover? Cheers PCM |

Hi pcm
There is a metal bar like an m shape that goes in the gap where the old headrest was to give it strength to the new built in headrest. The heated seat, back and bottom are replaced with new elements, comes off ok the originals were stuck down apparently a steam gun is handy for loosening the glue....I used a BBQ burger flipper 👍 No pictures part way through, just got on with it..first base took about 1hr... Hardest part fitting the rubber seal round base, ended up heating and using rubber mallet. First back part of seat took hours, I really struggled clipping it at the bottom, until I enlisted my 8 yr old helper. 2nd seat I did start to finish in maybe 2hrs. Well worth it, been out today so much more comfortable, holds you in seat and lovely leather smell 👍 This was the hardest part stretching leather to fit the 'zip' Click image to enlarge My Landrover approved tools 😀 Click image to enlarge |
