Old tyres for "off road" users?
Just wondering if it's worth trying to sell/give away 5 tyres I have?

The story is I bought 5 wheels and tyres for the wheels, expecting to referb' the wheels and buy new tyres as the ones I have appear to be dated at around 2002 so I don't think its wise to use "on" road. My question is are the tyres of any use to "off road" users?

The size of the tyres are 245 70 R16

If they are of any value/use I'll list them correctly with pictures and makes etc. All have very good tread. Mike

I did the same a few years back, on my Disco2. Took 4 BFG's off with around 3mm of tread. Had the wheels refurbished and decided to bite the bullet with new tyres. Sold them for around £50 on gumtree Thumbs Up Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

If they have very good tread then they will sell. Secondhand tyres are generally not high-price items (unless they are nearly brand new) so don't expect a lot, but you will certainly get more than it would cost you to dispose of them legally.

^^^^ As above I did with my last set too. Just make sure they are up to scratch to be used lawfully. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
