Above and just behind the front seats there is a join in the headlining running the full width. It’s secured with fir tree clips. Does anyone know is could remove two of the fir trees and secure a grab handle like this https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/mud-st...andle.html ?
Is there something solid behind there to mount to and could I screw into the existing fir tree hole/grommet/bush things to avoid making any new holes and keeping things reversible? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

The existing fir tree holes are pretty big - maybe 4-5mm diameter. You could drill them out put rivnuts in them though, which would give a reasonably solid fixing. I've seen some folks secure their headlining in that manner. Darren

Bluest,
You could use a couple of m6 speed clips, clipped to the inner gutter to screw into. https://www.amazon.co.uk/PACK-CHIMNEY-NUTS...B075YTLFVV Be careful of the rear washer pipe which runs along the inside of the gutter ! There is this option as well from Bolt on Bits that you could adapt.

Are there some existing holes there that I can use, or will I need to drill? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

There are no other holes, so if you want other holes than the fir tree ones you need to drill. a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover
