2012 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Corris Grey

How to clear engine warning light?

The inter-cooler hose split on my Wifes 2.2 Puma 90, thereby triggering the engine warning light. I have since fixed the split hose, but the engine warning light is still illuminated. Any quick way of turning it off, or do I need to hook it up to a diagnostic tool to clear the fault?

It should clear itself after 3 "drive cycles" with the fault not present.

Ah that's great. Will send the wife on 3 beer errands for fixing the hose.

OK so what constitutes a "drive cycle" as the wife has driven the the car five times now, and the engine light is still one. Any ideas?

Hello

I have one of these I find it very hand for Speed , revs and temp etc anyway but can reset and read codes easily.

From memory it was around £60 3 years ago.
