That’s the way to do it, have two then move the accessories from number 1 Defender to number 2 that’s a cunning plan, now I just need to let SWMBO that I would like a second Defender 2015 HT XS 90

The benefit of two is you should have at least one working at all times! James

Fitted today and feeling good. However, there is a knocking from the rear. The top mounting bush doesn’t seem as tight as the Bilstiens that came off, and there is quite a bit of slack. This doesn’t seem right does it? See attached pic. I feel like there should be cup washers either side to squash the bush? What’s the general consensus?

Cheers! Haven’t got the original, I’ll make some tomorrow. Does the outside one sit up against the shoulder on the bolt, or go past the shoulder?

Will I cause any damage doing about 15 miles on smooth roads? Need to get to the workshop to make some washers.

When making up the bottom mount I just made up enough to make the cups snug I thought it would be less stressful on the shock and minimise any side thrust.
I also gave the cups a light coating of silicon grease to ease there preforming. 2016 Defender Landmark 90 2005 Defender CSW TD5 90XS |

Note the washers I used have the bevel profile towards the shock. 2016 Defender Landmark 90

Cheers, but not sure I can see from your pic. If the washer was a bowl, would the rim of the bowl be facing the shock?
