If it helps at all, these are the Gen 2 version (not the newer halo effect lights). I got them from Brendan.
 Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Switched off, they look great - very low key for LEDs (which I like). Switched on they are a massive improvement on the originals and certainly deal with the dark spot issues of the earlier generation lights. Downside, if there is one, is that on dipped beam, only the lower half of the light is lit. Absolutely no impact on beam pattern, output, usability etc. but you don't get the classic look unless they are off or until you're on full beam. That said, I wouldn't change them back - very happy. I never have managed to get out at night and take photos but will try over the weekend. The low key look when switched off is the main reason I went for these too
