Very strange, Defender heating system it's very simple, with manual single flap, the air flow is unique for both sides, without separate adjustment between passenger and driver (as for RRS, D4,.... with a lot of motorized valves and flaps)
Anyway the Workshop manual is your best friend..... https://1drv.ms/b/s!AnHBx4Wc2MJLhG6rtxe8woH3N2w8?e=4wdKXL from pag. 819 - ... Click image to enlarge Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |

Mine did this. The problem wasn't with the aircon rather the heating which needed adjustment as it was running too hot and mixing with the rhs vent when the aircon was on.
Plenty of threads on here showing how to adjust the heating to make it cooler. |

Remember the diagram is for left hand drive. Opposite layout for RHD.

Thanks for all the feedback, thought I would provide an update - had the aircon recharged today, no leaks but coolant was down to 50% so I am guessing it hadnt been done for a few years - now it is 100% and RHS is working -
