Sadly there have been a few people who have suffered the same problem as you!
From what I hear, they do come up with lame excuses and keep the money. I know someone who has given up trying to chase them for what they are owed, Not a company (if you could call it that?) I would want to deal with. Sorry to bear bad news http://www.lrsoc.com/forum/index.php?topic=8442.msg60633#msg60633 http://www.lrsoc.com/forum/index.php?topic...#msg186642 http://www.lrsoc.com/forum/index.php?topic=4377.msg26359#msg26359 http://www.lrsoc.com/forum/index.php?topic...#msg202936 http://www.lrsoc.com/forum/index.php?topic...#msg231789 http://www.lrsoc.com/forum/index.php?topic...#msg186620 Just a few examples of their bad press, hope your able to view them? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Thanks for the replys,
now I see, there's a common problem with ashtree.....thanks for the Adress, hope they really located there. I contacted them for over a year, we changed a lot of mails, never came across a warning. Much to much money to let them get away with it! Have to do some investigation to proof and may be take a little autumn trip to GB then. Thanks again Dirk |

Hi Dirk
Because they are a limited company their details are a public record but a lot of directors use their accountants address. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08846387/officers HR064 Hampshire and Berkshire 4x4 Response |

If you paid by credit card get in touch with the card company and explain what has happened and ask them to credit your card and charge back the vendor.
It's a pity if Ashtree are as bad as this thread suggests as I was hoping to use them to get a galvanised bulkhead for my Td5 at some point as part of my plan for a gradual rolling refurbishment. |

Hi together,
just planing my visit at ashtrees workshop. Does anyone know if they really established here: Ashtree Restoration International Ltd, Unit V4, Willment Shipyard, Woolston, Southampton, Hampshire SO19 7HS Tel: 07971815617 or 07968041318 or landline: 02380 865289? I have to be sure because I have not much time and this sure will be an unlucky encounter for them. So, If someone may confirm me this adress or knows alternatives will be very helpful! Cheers Dirk |

Hi together,
just a short feedback.... After a few unfriendly emails, i got all my parts! I think they have some serious problems with their time management and customer care, but they made a good job with doors in the end. Regards Dirk |

I bought a refurbished 110 firewall - it arrieved three month after promised day of delivery. It was the worst ever and my workshop had 22 hours of extra labour to get it right. I paid aprox 2.000 GBP for the complete item and extra 1.300 GBP for the 22 hours. I asked for refund, but got an naughty answer. So stay away from Ashtree.

A friend of mine who restores Series Land Rovers had an Ashtree bulkhead in his garage bought by one of his customers, it took a lot of fettling to get it ready for fitting up and painting. As Ian has said I would give them a wide berth.

Ashtree supplied my galv bulkhead, quality of galv is excellent, however finish was poor which was due to poor preparation in the form of badly located holes and brackets and rivnuts not pulled in very strong.
Contacting them for collection was a pain, and although promised to be ready when I arrived to collect, my bulkhead wwasn't ready and had to wait whilst 'they found it'. They seem to be disorganised but overall I was happy with what I got. The galv quality is good which was most important to me. |
