Just finished the Silent Coat. Went for 4mm. Now overlaying with 5mm closed cell water proof foam. The silent coat is real easy to cut. I templates a few bits with card first. Don’t recommend pre cut stuff as tends to be a poor fit.

Am I missing something here? Surely, when the carpet is replaced it won’t fit correctly due to additional 9mm of insulation or is there additional work required?

I deliberately didn't use foam on the floor and wheelboxes due to concerns it would be too compressible. I also think that carpet will do a similar job as the foam, in any case. It's all a slight compromise but if the sides and roof and done to a good standard then I doubt the difference is noticeable. Darren

Rear arches and floor, and then front floor and seat boxes gave best bang for buck in my 90.
