Good to know you're pleased so far though! What size aerial did you go for? Simon

Did you fit it yourself? If so, how tricky is it? I have to warn you - I am a total numpty when it comes to anything electrical and I'm reasonably sure I'd blow my Defender up in the process of fitting it... I've looked for someone local who can fit it, and can't find anyone Simon

I was thinking about putting my cb in and putting the arial on the front of my hard top behind the cab but would need a big length of cable would I lose a lot of signal power with a long run of cable

Nah, use mini-RG8 cable, decent plugs with proper soldered connections... The loss in the cable will be minimal, definitely not noticeable to your ears.. The loss at 30mhz is about 2.3db per 100 feet of cable.. So, a relatively long run in a landy of say 20 feet is gonna give even less of a loss.. ... ,-------, .. I [__][_]|__ .. I __ |"_|"__| ..
