Is it worth it?
Going to see this nice 130 tomorrow: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-130-...3754257706

Any thoughts about the price?

Cheers
Oli

Seems like strong money to me, £24k if you have to absorb the vat.

I've a few 130 double cabs and a couple are ex utility, as work trucks they don't seem to be as carefully looked after as privately owned trucks, and whilst they do get naintained regularly that's no guarantee that things won't go wrong, they are usually lease vehicles so "bean counters " probably control maintenance programs more shrewdly than the rest of us, particularly near end of contract/disposal.

I recently sold a 2013 110 utility, county spec, 98,000 miles vgc, sold for £13.5 plus vat, only one call from eBay in two weeks advertised at £15.5 plus vat, compare that to this 130 and I'd suggest it's similar value to my 110 at best.

If you want to revert to pickup allow £500 for rear tub, rear tailgate and the four brackets underneath that fix the tub to the chassis behind the bulkhead, I have a spare rear tub too!

Finally if it's spent it's life in Scotland I'd be having a really good look for rot in the rear of the chassis, but you'll know that already I guess

Good luck

Thank you for your feedback! I think it'll work out somehow for me... hopefully I'll bring that 130 home in the near future. Fingers crossed!
