United Kingdom 2010 Defender 130 Puma 2.4 HCPU Zermatt Silver
Our Austrian Easter Holiday in 130 & Artica Camper
Over Easter we spent a wonderful 2.5 weeks in our 130 and Demountable Camper.

Trip summary:
Cheshire to Hull then Hull to Rottadam overnight ferry,
Rottadam to Unterschwarzach in South Germany (550miles) to Artica Works www.articacamper.com to have Bike Carrier fitted and a first service of the camper plus a very enjoyable couple of days with Birgitta & William.
Then off to Austria, Heiterwanger See, followed by Zell-am-See and finally Hallstatt.
Then back home via Rottadam to Hull ferry.
1998 miles in total with average fuel consumption of 26mpg(imperial) which I was very happy with given the Camper's size and the amount of mountain passed we drove over.
Excellent holiday, perfect weather, drove over Grossglocknerstrasse on its first day open after the winter.
Camper was brilliant, since buying last year it we have used it for 9 weeks of holidays and they have all been excellent.

Grossglocknerstrasse on the day it was opened after the winter, they have some pretty impressive snow shifting machines, cracking drive, perfect blue sky and some pretty good Apfel Strudle.

Camper demounted at Camping Holl in Hallstatt - A Place we have been to many times before it is a UNESCO world heritage site and well worth a visit if you are in the Salzburg region.

Finally on our way back up through Germany we picked up a stowaway on the spare wheel, not sure if he (or she) was intending to get all the way to UK, but it was shy of the camera attention and flew away, does any one know what it was... it was very golden.

Never took photo of 130 and the camper in Hull docks on our return... can not think why not!!!

Looking forward to our next trip better get the map out and do some planning. 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper

A demountable camper Shocked

What a good idea. All the advantages of a camper but you don't have to haul all the weight and size around for your daily sightseeing Thumbs Up It would be pretty difficult to pinch as well Wink
